At 2:30am last night we were blessed with two wonderful and healthy nigerian dwarf goats named, Jenny and Duke. Annabelle, their mother was in labor for about 36 hours, so we were anxiously anticipating the new arrival to our family. We had all the goat kidding supplies in place and a kidding pen built for them out of 2×4′s and extra fencing we had stored away.
We let nature takes it course and mainly observed the goat giving birth. Stephanie helped clean the goats, clear their airways and dip their umbilical cords in iodine. Other than that Annabelle did all the work, while I filmed the miraculous event.
